EU Human Rights and Democratisation Assistance to Central Asia

The EU seeks to promote democracy and human rights in Central Asia through three specific funding mechanisms that complement its broader Development Cooperation Instrument. Central Asia is a difficult region for the EU to promote its values. Assistance needs to be targeted and integrated to have any effect. What measures could be taken to strengthen current mechanisms?
