The G20 after Cannes: An identity crisis

At the Cannes summit, the G20 has performed as neither an effective crisis management committee nor a steering board for the global economy. The sovereign debt crisis challenges the role of the G20 and entails the danger of political default of some of its members. The risk is a world of introspective powers, unable to take the lead of collective action.
