From Lisbon to New York: The EU at the UN General Assembly

The Treaty of Lisbon introduces far-reaching changes to the external representation of the Union. The EU is taking steps to implement the Treaty in multilateral settings and has scored a point with resolution 65/276 that enables EU representatives to take the floor at the UN General Assembly. The test lies, of course, in what they will say when given the floor, and in the degree of EU cohesion behind them.
