Transatlantic 'AfPak' policy: One year later

This policy brief by Daniel Korski reviews transatlantic policy on AfPak (Afghanistan and Pakistan) during the past year and identifies two phases of US-Europe cooperation; one where ties were close and a subsequent period where joint policy began to falter.

Afghanistan and Pakistan are likely to remain US national security priorities in the next decade, so European governments must decide how important they feel these countries' stability is and act accordingly.
