The future of the Eastern Partnership: Challenges and Opportunities

On 27–28 January 2010, the international seminar ‘The Future of the Eastern Partnership: Challenges and Opportunities’ was co-organised by the Spanish EU Council Presidency, and the Embassies of the Republic of Poland and of the Czech Republic in Madrid in cooperation with FRIDE.
The seminar was inaugurated by Minister for Foreign Affairs of Spain Miguel Ángel Moratinos; Poland, Radosław Sikorski and the Czech Republic, Jan Kohout; and the President of the Executive Committee of FRIDE, Pedro Solbes. This seminar report outlines the main discussion points within the three topics of the seminar: implementation of the Eastern Partnership and the role of EU, its member states and international financial institutions; the bilateral dimension and the multilateral framework of the Eastern Partnership.
