Spain in Africa: The Reluctant Newcomer

Spain is a newcomer to Africa. Since 2004, remarkable efforts have been undertaken to put Sub-Saharan Africa on the map of Spanish foreign policy. To have influence within Europe on relations with sub-Saharan Africa, it must focus on fewer issues and improve coherence between government departments.
