DARFUR REVIEW is a monthly selection of Arab official, journalistic and academic sources that are compiled to give an overview of the main events, opinions and documents on Darfur from the perspective of the Arab world. The main objective of the newsletter is to fulfil the language gap between Arab media and western audiences.

This initiative takes place within the context of FRIDE’s project “The Gap Between Narratives and Practices. Darfur: the Responses from the Arab world” and is funded by the Ford Foundation.

In this second issue (April 2009), the newsletter does a follow up of the Sudanese and regional diplomatic movements after the ICC’s arrest warrant against President Al-Bashir.
