Director of the Comparative Politics Unit, CSIC (Spain). He teaches post-graduate courses on Latin American politics at the University Institute Ortega y Gasset and the International University of Andalusia. He is Director of the social sciences journal Zona Abierta, and member of the Editorial Board of Revista Internacional de Sociología.
