Spain and the Maghreb during the Partido Popular's second mandate
11/04/2005 By Laura Feliú
This comment by Laura Feliú examines the extent of change in Spanish policy towards the Maghreb since the victory of the socialist government in March 2004. The author argues that, despite appearances, there is a level of continuity in the policy of the Zapatero administration. This document also analyses the crisis in the relations between Spain and Morocco, and the strengthening of relations with Algeria felt in the second period of the Aznar government (2000 – 2004).
