Donor harmonization and democratisation: new challenges for the development agenda
10/09/2007 By Stefan Meyer, Nils-Sjard Schulz
FRIDE hosted a round-table to discuss the advances in the research project "Donor harmonisation: Between effectiveness and democratisation". During this event, FRIDE shared its research advances with representatives of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECI), the Directorate for Planning and Evaluation (DGPOLDE), different Spanish think tanks, civil society and international consultants.
This activity was structured in two phases. Firstly, the FRIDE research team presented the project and its focus. Secondly, the attendees discussed the contents in a debate centered in the dimensions of the context in which harmonisation takes place, the academic relevance and the political challenges.
With theses inputs from the participants, FRIDE concluded the conceptual phase that represents the basis for the next steps in the research process.
