Premier Wen’s last China-EU summit

The September summit between the EU and China was the last one held before the upcoming change of leadership in China. It took record of progress but also registered regrets and divergence on important economic and political issues. A senior Chinese scholar argues that, as both parties look ahead, they will have to reinvent their partnership to make it fit for a new China, under a new leadership, and a new Europe, emerging from the current crisis.
