Assessing Democracy Assistance

With democracy support back in the headlines, FRIDE has over the last year contributed to a project on 'Assessing Democracy Assistance' being carried out by the World Movement for Democracy to offer advice on how to improve both donor and local stakeholder practices.
FRIDE asked nearly 700 civil society representatives across 19 countries their opinion on how democracy aid should be re-energised. The result is the first comprehensive analysis on democracy assistance worldwide, including:

•34 facsheets
• 19 in-depth country case studies, based on the views of local democracy stakeholders:
