Afghanistan is one of the countries that FRIDE follows in the context of our work on the “Institutional crisis of the state” and “International responses” to these crises.
Through related seminars or conferences and through commentaries by FRIDE researchers, non resident FRIDE researchers and external collaborators, FRIDE maintains an active debate on the international community’s strategy towards statebuilding in Afghanistan.
The significant influence of Pakistan in Afghanistan and the recent instability in the region, has led to a series of further commentaries on Pakistan that are closely related to Afghanistan.
Below is a list - frequently updated - of the Working Papers, Comments and Articles published by FRIDE researchers and external collaborators on Afghanistan and Pakistan.
