He has been Adviser for Leasefactor in Lisbon; member of the Club de Coyuntura; Chairman of the European Council of Economists; member of the Editorial Board of España Económica; Director of Moneda y Crédito; member of the Spanish Association of Finance Executives; Adviser for the World Bank; Lecturer of Economics at the Escuela de Organización Industrial; member of the Institute of Economic Studies; member of the Economic Committee of the CEOE; Chairman of the UNICE Working Group on Political Economy and Chairman of the UNICE Ecofin Committee. He has been member of the European Economic and Social Committee
He has also held several posts at the Banco Hispano Americano of Madrid, such as Planning Adviser, Marketing Director, Studies Director, Head Economist, Secretary of the Directorate and Director-General. He is a Consultant of Batt & Partners in the United Kingdom and he has been consultor of the European Economic and Social Committee.
