Stefan Meyer
Former senior researcher

Stefan Meyer is a Political Scientist (Free University Berlin) and holds a Masters degree in Governance and Development from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in Brighton, UK.
He frequently publishes in FOROAOD.
Among his latest projects are
- Donor harmonization: Between Effectiveness and Democratisation
- Participatory Revision of Spanish Development Cooperation.
Before joining FRIDE, he worked as a consultant on aid instruments and conflict impact assessment for a number of NGOs and for the German Development Bank (KfW). Between 2000 and 2003, he was Coordinator of the social sector of the reintegration programme for refugees and ex-combatants in Sierra Leone atthe German Development Agency (GTZ). Previously, he worked as a researcher in a consultancy firm for health sector reform and in an NGO providing civic education.
