Simon Maxwell
Trustee of FRIDE
A development economist, he worked for ten years in Kenya, India and Bolivia, and for fifteen years at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex. Former Director of the Overseas Development Institute (1997-2009), he is now ODI Senior Research Associate and Executive Chair of the Climate Change and Development Knowledge Network. In 2007, he was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, for services to international development.
