Rico Isaacs is a Lecturer in Politics in the Department of International Relations, Politics and Sociology at Oxford Brookes University, from where he also recently earned his PhD (2009).
His research focuses on the relationship between informal forms of political relations and behaviour and the development of formal institutions in Central Asia.
He has written and published on the development of political parties, the process of elections, constitutional reform and informal politicsin Kazakhstan.
