Moataz El Fegiery is an associate fellow at FRIDE and a PhD candidate in Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He is the former executive director of the Cairo Institute for Human Rights studies (CIHRS) and a member of the executive committee of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN).
