Stuart Reigeluth
Specialist on Middle Eastern
Stuart Reigeluth studied Political Science and Comparative Literature at Williams College and holds a Masters from the Center for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies (CAMES) at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. A condensed version of his thesis on Palestinian poetry was published as "The Art of Repetition" in Mahmoud Darwish, Exile's Poet, Critical Essays (Interlink, 2008).
He worked for the Palestine-Israel Journal in Jerusalem before covering the Israeli disengagement from the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2005.
With a focus on EU foreign policy in the Middle East, he is co-author of two EuroMeSCo papers on European engagement in Lebanon and EU security sector reform in Turkey and Palestine. He contributes articles to the Daily Star in Lebanon, Al-Ahram Weekly in Egypt, the Middle East Times, El País and Foreign Policy Spanish Edition.
