Cletus Gregor Barié

BA in Latin American Studies (UNAM, Mexico); MA in Human Rights (UIA, Spain); and specialisations in Judicial Anthropology (ENAH, Mexico) and Management of Development Programmes (DED, GTZ, Germany).
Cletus Gregor Barié is a researcher and political analyst, specialised in social conflicts, indigenous rights and intercultural relations. From 2000 to 2002, he worked as a volunteer with the German development cooperation in Bolivia with indigenous communities, and later as consultant and adviser of several development aid agencies.
He currently works with the Fundación UNIR Bolivia (www.unirbolivia.org) as an expert from the German development cooperation (CIM/GTZ).
He is author of several newspaper articles, essays and books on the complex intercultural realities of Latin America. His comparative study Pueblos Indígenas y derechos constitucionales en América Latina: un panorama (2003-2004) is available at http://gregor.padep.org.bo.
