Julia Choucair Vizoso

Julia Choucair Vizoso is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Yale University and a nonresident associate at FRIDE. She was formerly an associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where she served as deputy editor of the Arab Reform Bulletin.
She has also worked as an independent consultant on Middle East issues, including political reform trends in the region, human rights, Lebanese politics, and the European Union’s approaches to reform in Arab countries. Her book Beyond the Façade: Political Reform in the Arab World (co-edited with Marina Ottaway) was published in January 2008.
