Natalia Alvarez Molinero
Lecturer in Law at the University of Aberdeen
Lecturer in Law at the University of Aberdeen. Dr. Alvarez has a degree in law from University of Deusto, a degree in International Humanitarian Assistance from University of Deusto and University of Oxford, and a Ph.D in law from University of Deusto.
From 2006 to 2007 she was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen in the field of violence and the use of force in international law. She is specialised in human rights, gender and feminism, use of force and violence, and minorities and indigenous peoples. She has taught courses on the above mentioned areas in different Universities in Europe such us, University of Padua (Italy), University College London (UK), Universitat Jaume I (Spain), University of Deusto (Spain), University of Sevilla (Spain) University Carlos III ( Madrid) and University of the Basque Country (Spain).
Between 1996- 2004, she was a lecturer in Public International Law and human rights at the European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation and the European Master’s in International Humanitarian Action.
She has worked as consultant and legal advisor for different institutions and organisations such us, United Nations, European Commission, University of Arizona, University of York (Canada) and University of Pretoria (South Africa)
