José Manuel Pureza

Coordinator of the Peace Studies group, Coimbra University

José Manuel Pureza is Doctor of Sociology and International Relations at the University of Coimbra. He is also a Professor of International Relations and Director of the International Politics and Conflict Resolution Doctorate Programme at the same institution.

Mr Pureza is also employed as a researcher by the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra, where he coordinates Peace Studies group.

He is the author of, among other books, The Common Heritage of Humanity: Towards an International Law of Solidarity? (Ed. Trotta, 2003)
