Romy Chevallier

Romy Chevallier holds a BA Honours in Political Science from the University of Stellenbosch and a Master's degree in International Relations (cum laude) from the University of Witwatersrand.
Ms. Chevallier joined the South African Institute for International Affairs in 2004 as a research intern. She is currently working as a researcher on the EU-Africa programme, investigating the implications for Africa of the EU's expansion, and the historical, institutional, trade and socio-political factors that determine its policy priorities in Africa.
She is also working on the Joint EU-Africa Strategy to be adopted in Lisbon in December 2007.
