Chairman and CEO of The Royal Institution World Science Assembly of London and New York, Chairman and CEO Emeritus of The American Assembly at Columbia University in New York, and Member of the teaching staff of the Aspen Institute.
He was Coordinator of the Conference on Democratic Transition and Consolidation, held in Madrid, in October 2001, organised by FRIDE and the Gorbachev Foundation of North America, which founded the Club of Madrid.
Has been Founder and Director of the Peace Corps Training Centre at the US Delegation of the United Nations; Assistant Lecturer of International and Official Affairs at Columbia University; Associate Director of the Adlai Stevenson Institute of International Affairs of the University of Chicago; Director of the US European Business Journal; and Collaborator for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle and The International Herald Tribune.
At FRIDE he is member of the Advisory Committee.
