Holds a Diploma in Public Relations (protocol, sales techniques, customer service, marketing) from the Centro de Actividades Pedagógicas in Madrid. She also studied International Relations at Darmstadt University (Germany) and Communications Skills at the University of Central Florida.
 
Prior to joining FRIDE, Lourdes Kornacker was receptionist at Maersk Esp. S.A., Grupo AP. Moller-Maersk (1989-2006); and worked in several hotels in Madrid, New York and Miami, being responsible for the coordination and management of reception and call centre (switchboard), national and international courier services, supplier selection and follow-up, coordination of business trips, and customer services, amongst others.
