Guillermo Méndez

He is the Web Editor and Webmaster at FRIDE. Political scientist and journalist, he holds a PhD in Information Science from Compultense University, Madrid, and a M.A in International Studies from the Diplomatic School of Spain.
Until 2007 he was the web director of popular radio programme Gomaespuma (Onda Cero-Antena 3). In political science he has worked as a researcher in the Institute of European - Latin American Relations (IRELA) in Madrid, and as an advisor in the Legislative Assembly for the social democratic group and in the Foreign Ministry of Costa Rica, (first Oscar Arias administration).
In journalism he has worked for La Nación and La República (Costa Rica), as well as Recol Networks and Diario ABC (Madrid). He also has experience as a lecturer in the areas of journalism and international relations in the University of Costa Rica and in Latina University.
