Vidal Martín
Former Researcher
Vidal Martín runs the “International Criminal Justice & Post-Conflict” project at FRIDE, which is related to Human Rights, Transitional and Universal Justice, as well as the complementarity between national and international courts. He is also the FRIDE project coordinator of the "Transnational Terrorism, Security and Rule of Law" Consortium project (TTSRL), co-funded by the European Commission.
He holds a Law degree from the University of Valladolid (Spain) and Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy). He previously worked at the Irish Centre for Human Rights (ICHR), National University of Ireland (Galway), where he took part in the Refugee and Asylum Legal Support Unit and worked on the “Model Codes for Post-Conflict Criminal Justice Project” run jointly by the ICHR, the US Institute for Peace (USIP) and the UN High Commissioner (2004-2005). Prior to that, he was involved in EU Youth Programmes on Conflict Resolution and Transforming Conflicts in the Euro-Mediterranean Region, Euromed (2002-2003).
