Jaume Vidal Casanovas
Researcher
BA in Political and Administrative Sciences by the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (1998), having completed his studies at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques-Sciences Po, Bordeaux.
From October 1998 to March 1999, he worked as an Intern at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva. From June 1999 to December 2000, he worked for several human rights NGOs in Colombia, as well as working as Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Law at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá.
He has collaborated with the Centro de Investigación y Documentación Internacionales (CIDOB) and worked at the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a Researcher and afterwards as a Consultant, both to the WHO as well as to the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO). Jaume Vidal Casanovas has also collaborated with Human Rights Watch (HRW) during the 51st session of the Human Rights Commission.
