Chris Toensing

Editor, Middle East Report, publication of the Middle East Research and Information Project, Washington DC

Chris Toensing is executive director of the Washington-based Middle East Research and Information Project and editor of its quarterly magazine, Middle East Report.
An Arabic speaker, he has travelled widely in the Arab world, including Iraq, and Egypt where he lived for three years.
He holds an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University.
Toensing has written for the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, The Progressive, the Star-Ledger of New Jersey and other US newspapers and magazines, has appeared numerous times on radio and TV programs to discuss Middle East politics and has spoken widely in the US on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the war on Iraq and US policy in the Middle East.
