Jon Shifrin
Research Assistant
Jon Shifrin worked as a Research Assistant at FRIDE. His projects included performing research on E.U. enlargement for the book Desafíos: la Unión Europea ante su ampliación, that FRIDE published in 2003. He also helped to coordinate the conference Iraq: the day after, on the implications of the war in Iraq, and assisted with the release of the report Towards a New Era in Development Aid, on reforming the way in which international development aid is dispersed.
Before joining FRIDE, Mr. Shifrin worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce as a Presidential Management Intern, as a Congressional Aide on Capitol Hill for U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy, and as a Research Fellow at the Center for a Sustainable Economy, a think tank specializing in ecological issues. Additionally, he is a former White House Intern.
Mr. Shifrin earned a B.A. from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, and a M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
