The UE strategy for Central Asia

Description

In June 2007 the European Union launched its “Strategy for a New Partnership’ with the states of Central Asia. In order to review the first year of the implementation of the Strategy the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and FRIDE  in cooperation with four of the leading political groups in the European Parliament will convene a seminar on 8th October 2008 devoted tothe emerging relationship between the EU and the states and societies of Central Asia.

The seminar will also mark the launch of the European Union-Central Asia Monitoring (EUCAM) project. The EUCAM initiative is an 18-month research and awareness raising exercise supported by several EU member states and civil society organisations.
