Description

The seminar aimed to encourage debate (with concrete results) between Arab countries regarding the Arab world’s ongoing role in Darfur, and to examine how this role could be improved during this crucial year for Sudan. The debate, which took place in the context of the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement and the recent national elections, was part of the FRIDE project ‘The Gap between Narratives and Practices. Darfur: Responses from the Arab World’, financed by the Ford Foundation.
