Upgrading EU commercial diplomacy in 2012 (Richard Youngs, New Europe)

As a result of the crisis and intense competition from emerging powers, the focus on geo-economics in2012 will tip the scales even more towards bilateralism and away from common EU approaches. EU member states are already competing amongst themselves to secure contracts and investments.
